A Farmers Daughter...

Harvest has always been my favorite time of year.

From dusk to dawn, I witness as my family and many others in our community put in long hours harvesting crops. The leaves begin to change and the air becomes crisp, a true feeling of fall.

From my grandpa’s, to my father, and now my brothers, I have witnessed how important farming is to them. Through them I have seen the long hours, dedication, the good days and bad, and all the hard work it takes to be successful.

My role as the farmers daughter has changed dramatically throughout the years. It all started as the little girl who thought taking a ride in the combine was everything. As I grew, I got to play the role of delivering lunch, supper, etc. That slowly turned into moving equipment and making several trips from field to field. I now get the privilege of doing something I am so passionate about by capturing the special moments spent in the field.

I am so thankful to have found a career that allows me to tell a story through the images I create.
